PMS for Mac Crashing on IOS playback

Recently my PMS for Mac has begun crashing repatedly when playing back to IOS, does not seem to occur with the same content to Android. Not sure if this is specifically related to local/remote at this point.

Client starts to play and then stops abruptly as does the server

I have gone through the crash reporting FAQ and I cannot see any crash reports on the system that correspond with this crash.

Happening to me. Seems to be when transcoding only. Not local direct play.

the same thing is happening to me.

plex server on nvidia shield, when I play from iOS or tvOS in transcoding, I stop the plex server.

please update.

Has been happening to me on Windows (10) using server Version 1.11.0.4666.

A fix is coming out soon - in a Plex Media Server release

Disable Automatic Quality Adjustment on the iOS / tvOS app until the fix is available

Thanks for letting us know!
Anyone knows what is the latest working version of PMS to be used until the new release will ve available?

thank you so much

Any update on this issue? My server is crashing constantly even with this turned off.

Are you sure you identified all the ios / tvos devices and disabled the setting on them all?

You could provide logs with verbose logging as well as debug and the device can then be identified

The version of Plex Media Server with the fix is currently in test

So I have identified and tested the one specific ATV causing the issue. It is a remote managed home user on a ATV4. We have turned off the “Auto Quality” setting and made sure the app/tvOS was up to date however it still seems to be crashing my server within a few seconds of initiating a stream. Thanks for the update. I had logs but I must have trashed them. I will try and grab some tonight after work.

quality adjustment is bad , just set the bandwidth and let it be
