Using the search function in the Plex app on my Samsung Note 8 the app crashes typing the 4th letter in the search word.
Seems it only happens searching for original title.
Exampel:
The movie “Switching Channels” with the Danish title “Teknisk uheld”.
Typing the Danish title works fine.
Typing the original title S W I !!!
However if I type S W and the chose “switch” from the suggested word list there is no crash and I cann add I N G …
So the 3th letter and only if those 3 letters not occure in a Danish title, Plex crashes.
I tied to empty catch, reinstall the app, restart the phone and to get rid of the beta version (seems not possible since I have a Plex player on other another devise)
I notice other users has the same problem but I don’t find any answers to to this.
I installed version 8.22.0.27533 and the crash disappear.
I’m not saying that a later version wouldn’t solve the problem. I just remembered that the search function worked at my daughters birthday and downloaded the according version.
Next to actually streaming from Plex, the search function for me is the most important function

There is a new version of the Search feature starting with v8.26.2 of the app, can you update to that (or to the latest beta) and see if the problem you reported is fixed as a side-effect?
