I have a crazy situation with my install.
I have been running PLEX on a Synology NAS for a long time.
I decided to tinker and for whatever reason lost authorization to the server. I could not get it back so I decided to kill the account and start over, but this time on a Windows machine. I figured I would connect to the NAS through shared folders. Everything is local IP’s.
I created a new account. The install went OK, however the WEB interface did not start so as to configure the server.
I went to the old install on the NAS and for ■■■■■ and giggles tried the web interface It started fine, but it was also pointing to the Windows Plex server install. It looked like a new config so I reconstructed everything and it works but…
1- The PLEX server is on the windows machine.
2. The Plex server web client is running off the old NAS Plex server install
3. If I uninstall the Plex server on the NAS I loose the web client to the new windows install.
4. I cannot connect to the web server using the Windows IP, only the NAS IP
I want to uninstall Plex Media Server from my NAS but still have access to my Windows install. How do I move my server web client for Plax Media server to the windows box? Do I have to deauthorize the NAS somewhere but then how do I connect to the new WiIndows Plex Server? Do I have to authorize the windows box and if so how do I do that?
Sorry, I know I may be rambling a bit, but this is really screwed up.
Summary. - My Plex server is on Windows. My Plex server web client is on my NAS, which is part of my old install, but it points to the new windows server for some reason. I cant delete the NAS PLex server because I lose connection to my Windows Plex server
