It would be cool if you could create your own “streaming channel” for your plex users. This could include content that is already on the server but scheduled for certain times just like a TV channel. Then different users could all login and watch together just like plex together. For example, you could create your own comedy network and have your comedy tv shows shuffling, or you can create a movies channel, or you can create a channel to have a marathon of a tv show you want to binge watch. I just thought it would be cool and thought the idea of running your own “channel” with your content for yourself and other users to tune in to would be fun.
Although I am at a loss as to why anyone would want to do this I think its equivalent can be created using collections and/or playlists.
You can even have a custom genre and filter a library by that and randomly play it.
Seems like a real waste of time and effort for Plex to expend extra effort for such a limited use.
