The abilty to create custom TV Channels from my content and share with my users

As the title suggests, I’d love the ability to create my own TV channels I can curate and share with my users / Family

Over the years I’ve curated a large media collection and would love the ability to create TV channels that I can share with my users / family.

Things like creating a dedicated TV channel with children’s shows and movies i can share with my kids. or a dedicated Stephen Spielberg / Christopher Nolan channel. or one dedicated to a specific genre of Movie / TV show.

Or something that plays non-stop Friends / sex in the city for my sister.

Research shows that choice overload is a real thing (I know my family suffers from this) and sometimes people just want to turn on a channel and watch whats on without needing to make a selection, as a film and TV enthusiast the ability to create my own channels and share them with people would be a real Plex server feature I would relish.

I’ve looked into DizqueTV and Xsteve but them seem a bit hacky (Especially when I already have a HDHomerun) & I wold much prefer an in server experience to set this up.

There’s already a rather popular suggestion discussing a solution like this. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Yeah, didn’t see that.

Hopefully this is something Plex can look into.

There’s lots of different 3rd party ways of doing this (not the ability to share with people you share your library with though)
