I’ve got PMS running on an NVIDIA Shield. When I open the server in Plex for Web, I’ve confirmed my movie library Ratings source is Rotten Tomatoes, and I can browse my movies by a list of percentages.
But when I use Plex on my Shield (non-beta), I’m seeing ratings out of 5 stars, which I’m assuming means it’s pulling from IMDB despite the library setting. Is this a bug, or is Rotten Tomatoes integration coming in the beta/next version?
Just double-checked this on my setup.
What you see is just a “different” visualization of the critic ratings. While Plex Web shows an icon of the rating source and e.g. a percentage, Plex for Android (TV) translates the score to a 0-5 star rating (0=0%, 5=100%) and shows no icon identifying the source of the rating.
The Android TV client does not pull its own critic ratings – it’s still the data it gets from your very own server.
