Crossfade instead of gapless in double album

Thanks for the logs!
Just to make sure: you are listening in the original track order and not ‘shuffled’, right?

Yup! Listening in original track order.

Just tested with “The Wall”. Again playback with crossfade instead of gapless.
As far as I can see now it’s consistent behavior with multi-disc albums.
Thanks for the help so far.

You are aware that the tracks do naturally segue into each other on The Wall?

Yup! I know the album very well. The baby in the second track cries much too soon…!

Sorry to jump in. I noticed your account doesn’t show your Plex Pass. I’ve verified you do have a Plex Pass. Please explicitly sign out from the forum and then sign back in. This should get your forum profile updated.

Back to your regularly scheduled show.

I’m noticing this issue with Plexamp on a RPi (running headless under Raspbian Debian 9.9 armv7l as a systemd service as a dedicated user).
I had added the parameters from [Feature request]Please let me turn off normalisation & crossfade! - #23 by OttoKerner which seemed to work at first to eliminate crossfading, except today my girlfriend is playing Zappa’s The Roxy Performances (which is multii-disc). It all shows up under the same album, but it’s crossfading.

Even though crossfade is false in the audio section of server.json – which I thought would completely disable crossfade. It seemed to disable it for a single-disc test we did, but we are noticing it today on a multi-disc album.

Is there any way to make sure I turn off all “smart” fades, etc? From trying to dig through the obfuscated code in server.prod.js, I did not see any other JSON parameters for disabling fade. (But maybe I missed something.)

This is incredibly distracting for Zappa shows, because in them many songs segue into the next song while still keeping time. I’m a musician, and my girlfriend is collector of live music, so this is grating on both our nerves. =(

I know most users are just listening to playlists of EDM and dance music, so all the fading is probably what they want, but for the rest of us, it would be nice to have a blanket disable of all of it.
Thanks so much! Other than that, Plexamp on Raspbian has been working great
