Crystalhd support in Linux (Ubuntu)

Hello,

I’m using OpenPHT on Lubuntu 16.04 on my netbook, and I’ve successfully installed Broadcom Crystal HD module and drivers from this repository: https://github.com/dbason/crystalhd

I’ve been using CrystalHD along with Mplayer and VLC without a problem with this driver, but I also want to use it with OpenPHT.

How do I do this ? I couldn’t run it with the pre-compiled package, and nor could see an option for it.

Any idea would be appreciated to achieve my goal. I can compile OpenPHT if required, I’d just like to know the steps to achieve my goal. I want to make my netbook totally usable once again.

By the way, I’d prefer OpenPHT, but in my case for CrystalHD support it’s not a must, does Kodi plugin support CrystalHD ?

Thanks in advance,

You can’t, all that code died years ago.

The addon is basically a UI and skin replacement, it goes nowhere near the Kodi decode pipeline. if Kodi supports it (which I am not sure it does anymore), then Plex for Kodi will.

Thank you! I was hoping If I compile ffmpeg during compilig OpenPHT it somehow would work, but even if the code is abandoned in the source I guess OpenPHT is hopeless for my need. I’ll check Kodi + its plugin then.
