Is this Plex program …app. even helpful or useful in anyway?
Just found out the server option for operations… isn’t useful?
Plex is a server/client setup to stream your own media. You don’t need to purchase a Plex Pass to use the server software or the free client apps.
It requires a server to be running on a PC or NAS and a client .
The client can be the same PC that the server software is installed on.
In my usage scenario, the server software is installed on a Windows PC in the main house, and streams media to 6 different clients in three separate houses. Three Rokus, a Chromebox, a FireTV, and an Odroid C2.
