Custom Music Filter for 5 Star rated Artist OR Album

Hi there,

I’m using Plex mainly for Movies and TV Shows which is working great… Now since Google killed off Play Music i’m testing Plex’s music library capabilities.

I noticed there is no way to adjust filters for smart playlists with an OR syntax.

For example i 5star rated artists and albums an want to create a smart playlist containing all 5star artists OR 5star albums… This means i would get all 5star artists and their albums even if they’re not rated as well as all 5star rated albums whose artists are not rated… The way i understand it as for ow is that if i filter 5star artists AND 5star Albums which is the default and the only choice at the moment than i only get 5star albums whose artists are 5star rated explicitly and not those albums whose artist/albums might not be rated (and vice versa whose album/artist might not be rated)… Is there any way to do this…?

Any help is highly appreciated :wink:

This will be made available later this year in the web app.
Currently, you can build such a filter/smart playlist only in Plexamp:

Hey There, good to know, and thx for the info. I cannot however, for the life of me, find the artist rating option in the tracks filter section (Android, Windows)… Has it been removed by now eventually…?

Which Plex client are you using? This is only available in Plexamp.
If it is not available in your version of Plexamp, it will be in the next release. :wink:

Oh, ok, sounds great, i use Plexamp 3.4.1 on Android and Windows, is there some kind of beta one could subscribe to…? Well and if not i’ll wait :slight_smile:

Unfortunately not. Betas are only available to a closed group.
