Custom playlist images?

Server Version#:1.39.1.2763-300bb607
Player Version#: Any TV
So, I was subscribed to a new feature request for adding custom playlist images ([Implemented] Custom Posters for Playlist - #11 by Maxcore), and that supposedly got implemented back in July, and if I am in the web interface, I can change the image for any playlist I want, but it only shows in the web app, not on ANY of my other devices, which makes this pretty much totally useless. Why doesn’t my custom playlist image show on my other devices, I mean, don’t they get the playlist image DIRECTLY FROM my server?

Anyone? Hello Support! This is where you told me to come! Support your product for your paying customers!

There’s been a number of discussions that (mainly?) iOS/tvOS clients don’t yet support this properly. I’m not sure if other platforms have the same problem.

Your questions seem to be kind of rhetorical… at least I don’t have an actual answer for you.

None of my devices are Apple. I have Samsung TVs, LG TVs and Roku devices.
I’m just trying to figure out how this is considered done or implemented at all. It was marked implemented but it absolutely does not do what was asked. If I change a playlist cover image, it only shows on the device I changed it on (Which is the web interface/app, since that is the only place you CAN change the image), not anything else, and that is really useless. If there is something special I need to do to get this to work, where is it documented?

Still waiting on a support person to weigh in. This is how you told me to get support, so please, support your product! This feature was marked as implemented, but it’s not doing what it’s supposed to.

I made a report the other day for this sorry I forgot to reply that I did. I don’t don’t have an ETA though.

Afaik it was implemented in Web as a lets see if this works but never in any other app. When I talked to a dev about it they considered it a bug and hopefully it is just a matter of apps pulling a different url when loading those images

Thanks for the reply, and I understand. If I might make a suggestion, it would be to expand the “Implemented” status to include which version(s) of the app have a given feature implemented. I suspect this could even be automated if you use pretty much any modern version control system and some clever branch naming.
Is there somewhere I can check on the status of this feature request further?
