I’d like to be able to create a series of ‘custom view’ of multiple library TV, and Movie Functionality (across multiple libraries and types). Basically a ‘simple’ visual query builder, and a ‘simple’ ui builder for featuring content, or diminishing content .

I’d like to be able to :

  1. Specify what libraries / items are in the view (simple selection)
  2. Be able to mix tv, movies and other videos, as well as custom precreated items (like on deck across libraries)
  3. Create Library, Collections, Playlists, Categories, People, etc
  4. Be able to custom sort by show/movie
  5. Allow views built to be visible on all devices (must)

Also on HOME page

  1. Allow the creation of ‘custom’ home items with any ‘combined’ filter category
  2. Use of multiple templates to display home items to allow hero/feature carousel, or larger, medium and small thumbnails (one choice per libary (or view)) to bring in line with other streaming tv device menu systems.

Some examples of this being useful:

  • Being able to see ALL newly added or recently aired tv shows from ALL tv show libaries (on home and in a view)
  • all star wars movies, stories and tv shows in a ‘view’… (movies,tvshows)

this would allow any ‘new episodes/movies’ to show up in home as ‘recently added’, but also allow content to be watched chronologically.

Be nice to at least have a seasonal cat under recomendations for holiday movies, war films or patriotic for forth of July and Christmas and thanksgiving halloween

You may not be able to get as specific as “4th of July” but they do already have seasonal recommendations…I’ve seen it work for the Christmas holidays, not sure when Halloween is supposed to kickoff in Plex land, but it’s there in the middle.

would love to see this… and ability to create smart searches ACROSS multiple libraries of the same type (aka tv)

and sorting in movie collections - that’s another topic, but this above could fix that also.
