Hi I’d really like to be able to add my own pics for actor profiles within my own media server, and profiles themselves. There are several reasons for this.
Music Concerts: I have a large collection of concert DVD’s, not all of which are eligible to be listed on TMDB. I would like to be able to add actors/band member profiles to them on my own server.
Profile Pics: Many musicians, even some very famous ones, do not have profile pics on TMDB for Plex to find, largely due to a lack of pics that meet their very strict criteria. However these musicians do often have good images to be found online. I’d like to be able to add them to my own server, if they can’t be on TMDB.
Personal Pics: Since I’ve worked in the music industry, I have photos of myself with a number of different musicians - In some cases, I’d like to be able to add one of these as their profile pic privately within my own plex media server, while not having the pic appearing on others databases.
You can already add cast / crew data as embedded metadata which should be picked up by Plex – though, Plex will treat this as a pure local entity without any links to the Discover Credits feature.
This also currently doesn’t allow adding pictures, bios etc… just names.
