I would love to have the ability to add my own fields of metadata within the media content of my Plex library. For example if I want to add a “Location” field within general information for certain bands in my music library. Like Swedish, Latin, Japanese or U.K. to name a few possibilities. That way when I am viewing those bands I can list them by region or whatever other means of criteria one can think of.

I couldn’t find any requests that had this same concept, so not sure if this is duplicated or asked about elsewhere.

Artists already have a ‘Country’ tag.

Ah, Interesting. Thank you!! I was looking under songs. I would still like the ability to add custom categories though :slight_smile:

You can (mis-)use the Genre tag.
Artists and Albums have completely separate Genres.

You might wanna wait a few weeks before doing big manual metadata editing. There will be a bigger music update coming your way, which will base all metadata on MusicBrainz.
