I’d like to know if it’s possible to customize a tag or field for editing a metadata of a movie. In this case, I want to add information of where I got a movie from; a blu-ray, downloaded, and etc.
There are no custom tags in Plex available, I’m afraid.
You could mis-use the “sharing label” or a manual “collection” tag to do what you want.
Or you use separate top-level folder for each of these types of media and then add each of these folders to your Plex library. That way you may not be able to discern it at a glance, but can still discern them by looking at the plex media info of an item.
