I just installed rasplex on my raspberry pi2 and it’s working very well.
My issue is i use an usb DAC for the sound, the HRT Music Streamer II. It’s a very popular DAC and usually work out of the box everywhere. On rasplex this DAC works well on the main menu and when i play music. But when i play a movie or any video it switch back to the hdmi sound output which is annoying.
In the preferences i switched “audio output device” and “passthrough output device” to ALSA: Music STreamer II. But in the first “Audio output” option list i can’t find my DAC in the list …
Iam sure it’s just a question of finding the right settings here so if anyone had this kind of issue before, any help is welcome!
No, you’re not missing a setting. DACs only support Music playback at the moment. The next release will not support it either, possibly the one after that will.
