Dashboard Play History Stops after September 16th

Server Version#: 1.29.0.6219

It appears that my dashboard has stopped picking things up after (as best I can guess) September 16th. The system is recording watches just fine. I normally rank first or second on the dashboard, but as you can see, I don’t even appear here.

First pic shows play history over the last 7 days.
Second pic is the first page of my watch history during that time. Based on the list, compared to what everyone else shows… I should be #1, no?

Something strange is afoot at the Circle K…

Taking a look at the movie plays in the last 7 days:

I’m not seeing any weirdness on my server so most likely unable to help.

However, if you have not already I’d start by restarting plex server (including NAS if your running plex on the NAS), cleared browser cache etc… and complete an optimise on the db.

If after all that you still have problems and are feeling (somewhat) adventurous I’d start by looking at the metadata_item_views table in your plex db. All the view dashboard watch history is stored in that table so it might help identify if there is a problem.

Fantastic suggestions, but no dice. Here’s what I tried:

  • Restarted the QNAP (2x)
  • Cleared browser cache on personal PC. Results reflect on the work PC over VPN as well.
  • Optimized the database

So, I’m hesitant to dig into the database as I really don’t know what to look for.

The overall play history list is fine, as well as the Top Played section. The issue is localized to the Top Users and Play History graph sections alone. So odd that some of it would work, but not all of it.

If I extend the timeline to 30 days, or any other longer option that includes anything beyond September 16th, they will show data… but not including anything after that date. There was a new server update on what appears to be the 14th. I’m normally pretty diligent about applying those, but I suppose I could have missed a few days if that’s the culprit.

Curious, do you have the new sync watch list enabled? Wonder if it’s causing a wrinkle. I’ve it disabled

Let’s see if someone from plex jumps on the thread…

You know… as a matter of fact, I do… Let me piddle with that…

Curiously enough, there was also a server update during this process… Unsure which of the things fixed the issue, but it appears to be logging activity, now.

The interesting part is that it’s skipping that 7 day period entirely. Like it builds these tables directly from streamed minutes instead of play counts.
