Database Backup Recovery

Server Version#: 1.19.3
Player Version#: 4.34.1

I inadvertently changed the folder where my movies are stored. I immediately corrected the error but the database was ruined (movie not in collections, no sharing labels, etc.). I believe I should be able to restore the database from a backup file but there are no files located in
“%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases” on windows and the backup directory in the settings is listed as: “/share/CE_CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases”

I cannot find that directory on my server through the File Station.

Can anyone offer advice so I can restore the database from a backup?

I thought I had the backup location selected correctly when I originally set up the server. Now I have 500+ movies that I do not want to fix manually.

Thanks!

Moving from Windows to Linux (QNAP) means a lot of details:

The database will contain all the pathnames and those pathnames will not match at all.

You’ll need to perform a combination of :

  1. Move install to a new system
    -and-
  2. Move content to a new location

To get to where your Library (metadata) is stored on QNAP, until I finish adding mainsteam support, use this from Dane22 (a ninja/moderator)

You can then use the support pages documentation for moving installation and/or media as required.

Thank you very much. That worked and I learned something.

Stupid question here. I downloaded PMSLibShare and installed it.
Now see that I have a share called Plex, But I can’t find it in File Station.
How to access it?

Thanks.
