Where is the Plex database on Qnap NAS ts-451?

I have installed Plex Media Server (second one) on my NAS. I allready have a Plex Media Server installed on my Windows Server 2019, but it’s too difficult for me to move the database from windows to my nas.

So i copied all libraries to my nas, and installed plex as it was new. But i would like to know where the database resides on my nas. I can’t find it. My nas is Qnap TS-451+ with firmware Qts 5.5.5

I’ve tried this:

getcfg -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf PlexMediaServer Install_path

But that doesn’t show anything. It shows “processing” but nothing is happening.

Does anyone know where to find the Plex database ?

In most cases, it’s here:

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases

And when running getcfg, make sure you run it with a user that has admin rights

Hello dane22.
Thank you for your reply.

I use winscp. I am logged in with admin account

and this all what 's in the folder you mentioned:

Do you think it has anything to do with the proper rights

You need to enable hidden files/dirs, as well as use SFTP

See: Qnap faq.....read me first!

Yep. I see it now.

Q15: Adding a plug-in from a Windows workstation

If running WinSCP then make sure that you have enabled to show hidden files and folders (Ctrl-Alt-H). Also make sure, that you connect using SFTP!

I should have read the FAQ better.
