Sometimes, Plex will incorrectly decide that a new Movie I add (or Show, etc) is a new version or an additional part of an Movie (or Show, etc) that is already in the Library. When forcing Plex to “Unmerge” so that I can properly “match” it, both Movies will now show the same, older, “Date Added” date instead of the newer media having the “Date Added” reset to the current date.
I understand why this is happening, but this makes organizing the library difficult at times when adding many items. I rely on the “Date Added” sort to bubble newer items to the top so that that I can properly tag and organize them, but with this bug, I have to go digging to understand where a Movie (or two) “disappeared” to.
