Date Added keeps changing

I have been having this issue for some time now. Plex changes the date added of a movie for no reason that I can find.

For example it sees that See You Up There was added 7 hours ago, when in fact the file was created and not changed since 04.04.

Hot Summer nights 16 hours ago. The folder and files being created and modified 4 days ago.

The Last Movie Star was added on the 14th of April.

This keeps happening with random movies at random times and I can’t find out what is wrong.

Do any of you have the same problem, is there any way to fix it?

In fact, if your media storage is not on internal hard drives within the server itself, do disable the following check box:
Settings - Server - Library - ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’

Indeed all my movies are on a external HDD connected on USB but it didn’t cross my mind since I would have expected all the movies to change the date added, since they are all there.

I have disabled ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’ - hopefully this fixes the issue.
