It seems this isn’t a rare problem, for some reason known only to itself, about an hour ago Plex Media Server has decided to add about 1.5TB of movies to the Recently Added list. These are not recently added movies, in the main they have been in the same folder and folder structure for years. Many of them had already been watched. All of them had the correct cover/movie artwork and descriptions attached. Now, most are missing the cover, and the description, the fact the had (or had not) been watched has also disappeared.
This has happened before, though usually with only a few items at a time. Whilst not earth shattered and a bit of a first world problem, it is incredibly annoying.
In the absence of logs, what would be helpful would be to get some idea of where the database files live so perhaps I can go back to a version prior to this mess this morning, like a backup from last night.
I don’t understand why Plex sets this up the way it does, the added date should at worst align with the added date for the actual file in Finder surely - call me crazy.
Anyways, if someone can suggest where on a Mac (OS Sierra) this database file is likely to live, and how to stop these stupid auto things from even happening that would be smashing.
