Date based TV show - show optional Info?

Hi

according to Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support date based TV shows should be named as /TV Shows/ShowName/Season 02/ShowName – 2011-11-15 – Optional_Info.ext. The optional info is not showing up in any of the clients. Is it possible to make it visible? At the moment the shows are called just “Episode -”.

Unfortunately not.
The only way to have episode titles and descriptions is to

  • use the mp4/m4v container
  • write the episode titles as embedded meta tags into these files

(The latter can be done automatically by scraping the last part of the file name, using a suitable software.)
