Apologies if this is something very basic that has already been covered, but I haven’t been able to find an answer elsewhere.
How can episode dates – as circled in the screenshot – be set to display in UK date format (dd/mm/yy) rather than US?
Every database just register the dates as it is displayed on the Originally Available. Converting it to any other standard, UK or French requires some work and honestly that is time spent on something that is not necessary at least at the moment.
If that’s the case, shouldn’t it show “2021-08-07” in both locations? The fact that “Originally Available” is in yyyy-mm-dd format whereas the title is in m/d/y format surely shows that Plex is converting the date to a different standard. If it matched the “Originally Available” format, that would be fine.
oh I thought you wanted them to display in UK format instead the of the usual yyyy-mm-dd.
My guess is that there is an english UK localization set in your PMS somewhere hence PMS translating the date in UK format too.
Thank you – that set me on the right track. In my server settings, the language was set to “English”. I changed it to “English (UK)”, and now the dates are displaying as I wanted them to.
