Dead in the Water after Version 1.23.6.4810 Update - Database Locked

Having same issues.

Was driving me nuts last night. Had something similar happen a year ago and couldn’t remember how I fixed it… remembered this morning: uninstall and install a version that’s a year old. Fixed it. Will upgrade once there is a fix.

I am also having this issue. thought i broke something with a reboot today :frowning: sorry its affecting others, comforting to know the update is the cause.

unraid container rolled back to plex version:1.23.4.4805-186bae04e-ls61 is now working

Plex needs a rollback feature

Would anyone mind taking this build for a spin? Please back up your database first!

Desktop Platforms

[BUILDS REMOVED]

Testing now… wish me luck

On Windows 10, currently sat at ā€œUpdating library, please waitā€¦ā€ for around 5 minutes… no progress bar…

Almost 10 mins now, just sat, do I wait or kill the process and try and reload?

Edit: Am going to call time of death on it I think, doesn’t seem happy…

Don’t you love when they ask you to try something and then don’t monitor…

Making the same attempt, now.

Getting the same thing and trying the version posted:

Having the same issue on the newest beta server, on unraid. Rolling back…

It appears that this build has caused a ā€œTPK.ā€ It’s running as a task, but I am unable to access the server via the web interface.

(TPK = Total Party Kill in D&D terms for those wondering)

Well, that’s disappointing! Let’s try something else.

Could I get a copy of your latest logs zip (all the log files, not just a snippet)? And ideally a DM with your database.

I am seeing the DB locking issue as well -

Can you confirm the specific files you want me to send and I can. Do you want Plex Media Server.log and one of the .db files from Plug-in Support?

Sorry, yes!

  • Everything inside the logs directory
  • The com.plexapp.plugins.library.db file from inside the Plugin-Support/Databases directory

Unfortunately, with a failure to launch, I’m not sure I can get you logs. Do you want the current DB, or the one I created as a backup?

The logs are in the folders outlined in this support article (under the manual heading):

Both databases would be great. Though the current DB is more useful.

Just uploading them to Google Drive as think the zips are too large for here, will PM you links
