I am sure I am missing something but is there no simple delete? I am always shocked at the religious removal of the delete function in Media centers, if people are afraid if it just let it be a toggle, It seems so silly to have to go to the Operating system to remove files

Login to PMS, Settings - Library - Show advanced settings and tick 'Allow clients to delete media'.
I don't know which clients support deletion but plex/web certainly does.
