Deleting commercials causes audio sync problem after latest upgrade

Player Version#: Apple TV client
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun FLEX 4K
I have “Detect & Delete Commercials” set. It’s always worked well. But after a recent Plex server upgrade, the audio now becomes out-of-sync where the video starts after a commercial deletion. I must exit out of the video and restart it. Restarting it always re-syncs the audio. Is this a known bug in the new release? Is there any way to fix it other than waiting for a new release?
