Deleting old servers

Does anybody know how to delete old servers from your account. I have nothing in this server but can't get rid of it from my account it keeps on appearing.

Remove server is now back available on the media manager / settings / devices web page

Also you may need to clear browser cache by signing out and signing in from plex.tv (top right corner of Plex.tv screen )

Thanks for your advice but do you mean to delete everything from the web page area?.

In Media Manager, when you select Settings and then Devices, you get a list of all devices / web browsers / players and servers. You should be able to spot which server entries are old and just click on remove for these servers. You could also tidy old players and devices as well.

There was no old server things in those areas but it still shows up on the main page. Can't delete it no matter what I do.

If the old server is only showing in the Plex / Web list of servers in a column on the left side then that is most likely to do with cached browser information. Signing out from plex.tv and signing in again should clear the cache. (top right corner of plex.tv screen / drop down list of options for sign out)

Did that and the server is available.

Server is available : you mean that the old dead server is still showing ?

Could you get a screenshot uploaded here and indicate which is the one that you are not expecting to show

Also get the xml from the following url's:
On the server load browser and enter this url: localhost:32400/servers

Copy the xml to text file and attach here
Also the xml from these url's: plex.tv/pms/servers.xml. And. plex.tv/pms/resources.xml

I realize this topic is old but I have the same issue, here.Ā  Removed all the old servers.... but they're still showing up, even on the Roku app and PHT.Ā  The old server is LONG gone....drives removed, etc. Any advice?

Do the old servers show up on this screen:

localhost:32400/web

settings / devices

Do the old servers show up in the xml returned from this url

plex.tv/pms/servers

I am having this issue as well; see attached images. I can’t figure out how to attach a file as the attach file button doesnt work but I can see it in the plex.tv/pms/servers, I can see it on the home page where you can choose servers from a drop down, but I cannot see it in the Settings/Devices/Servers section.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but since it seems that a resolution was never found, I don’t feel too bad. I originally set up a Plex server on my desktop PC… later moved to a WD NAS. My old server does not show up on the devices list in the web interface. My Samsung Smart TV doesn’t show it. My Xbox One and One X don’t show it. My iPhone and iPad don’t show it. And my Apple TVs don’t show it. Only in two Windows 10 computers running the Plex app do I see this old server… screenshot attached.

Trying to go to the plex.tv URL in the earlier post results in a ā€œPlease sign inā€ error, even though I’m signed in everywhere that I can find to be signed in at.

https://app.plex.tv/desktop
Settings - Devices - Server

That being said, it may be that these two Windows 10 apps are signed into a different plex.tv account. Do you remember creating a new account at some point in the past?
Make sure by signing out the win 10 apps and back in to your current plex.tv account.

Only my WD MyCloud server shows up when I follow the path you provide. I’ve only ever had one Plex account, since I have Plex Pass. When I opened the app earlier today on both computers, the Windows devices under Settings > Devices moved up to the top, so I know they’re on the correct account.

I see. Then it is the Windows UWP app which has somewhere ā€˜stale’ data still in a cache, I assume.
I don’t know if there is anything that can be done here.

After removing and reinstalling the app on both computers, the old server is now gone. Kinda annoying that there’s no way to just clear the cached data, but problem solved.
