Anyone figured out how to delete the history from the Recording Schedule of Live TV? Once I have watched a show and deleted it I would like the record of it to clear as well. Might seem trivial but once the major network season starts and I am capturing a lot of shows I really don’t want to wade through the history. Before anyone tells me i know there is a Calendar view but seems silly to have to use it to avoid seeing a giant long list of historical recordings.
Since there are no screenshots showing what you are referring to I am assuming you are wanting Plex to delete recordings setup in the Recording Priority list when you delete an episode you watched?
I personally setup mainly series recordings and don’t want Plex removing anything in my Recording Schedule because I deleted an episode of a show, or the entire show in the library. I would imagine other users also do not want Plex doing this as well since Plex DVR hasn’t always played nicely with multiple libraries and DVR. For example, there have been other issues with Plex when a user sets up a recording and they tell Plex to remove the recording after 7 or 30 days and Plex has deleted content for the same show they had ripped from DVD’s that was stored in a different library than they setup the DVR recording to record using. I personally would rather scroll through my list of 50-75 series recordings to delete an entry for recording a show I no longer want than rely on Plex to do it for me when I delete the show.
Similar question, I recently installed a HDHomeRun and have had some problems with items saying there are recorded but not recording, I’d like to remove these failed recordings from the recording schedule. Anyone know how to do this ?
The history is only retained for three weeks. After that it drops off day by day.
So it seems it maintains 3 weeks old and 3 weeks into future scheduled recordings. My 10/12 start of recordings should start to fall off then if the 3 week rule is true.
UPDATE: indeed DaveBinM is right. My 10/12 just dropped off while its now 11/3. So indeed 3 weeks of history recorded is kept and what seems 2 weeks out upcoming not as its howing 11/16. Too bad there was not a section twisty function to close and keep close all the prior recordings as I often have to scroll through the beginning to TODAY or PLEX should focus all the time on the TODAY section when one enters the recording schedule view.
