Plex watch data is stored by the server, instead of saved to my plex account. This means when I switch between servers, I lose my watch history. Considering that ~98% of anything I will ever put on plex will be a database recognized motion picture, this seems beyond silly.
Please sync watch data to the account and not the server.
No. We do not store your watch history, that is on your server on purpose. We don’t know and don’t want to know what you watch, or where you watch it from.
I’ve installed Trakt and gotten plex to push to the site but the documentation is abysmal. Do you know how to best sync watchdata for multiple users between servers? Ideally without forcing them all to make Trakt accounts.
I’ve already read about people inadvertently having multiple users’ watchdata scrobbled to their account and I want to avoid that.
The only reason it would sync the wrong data to the wrong account is because they set it up wrong in the first place.
The trakt config page is pretty easy to use.
I have two servers and eight users. They did have to create trakt accounts however after that it’s pretty simple. Not as easy as in Emby though sadly.
