Detect and Delete Commercials no longer working

Thanks for the confirmation

The Plex Commercial Skipper is based on a third party product and the functionality would be what is offered by the comskip product

2 posts were split to a new topic: When using Commercial Markers on Recordings, should Skip go past all consecutive commercials

The fix for the 32-bit windows build has now been released in beta 1.30.0.6486-629d58034 - but still would recommend using the 64-bit build as it should give better performance

  • (DVR) Commercial detection could fail on 32-bit Windows builds (#14002)

Thanks Yes I am on 64bit now and will remain there. On the 64 bit I see the same issue of random lockups of the server too. Again it was recording 2 programs and when I arrived home I could not connect to it from my other local PC. When I went on the server PLEX was stopped and I had to restart it. I mentioned this as an OTHER issue I noticed that happens every so many weeks. This was the 2nd time since I started my original forum thread on the 32 bit commercial issue. It happend 2 days ago. So its noticeable now on the 32 bit when I had it and now this 64 bit. My server runs on WIN 10 64 bit Educ/Home Edition that is current with WIN updates as they come monthly from MS FYI. It is the only main thing running there. What seems to be a crash It is more of a nuisance but I do lose the recordings that either never occur or never finish…unsure if they ever start. I believe I have auto send crash settings on and maybe one day you will get it. I retired from IT a year ago and have no desire to debug this kind of stuff anymore!.. (-; …unless it affects my DAILY life.

Thanks for the feedback.

The crashes / lockouts and loss of recordings are all separate issues from commercial detection and would be best raising as separate forum topics with details of each of the issues and debug server logs provided just after the issue arising

Crash Reporting does need associated debug server logs to be available.
