Commercial detection/skipping not working

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6442
Player Version#: playing on server
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomerun Connect, on latest firmware
Guide/Lineup name:
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: All

I’ve just setup Live TV on my server using the above info. I’ve tried recording 4 or 5 different shows across all of the major networks.
In DVR settings, I have Detect Commercials = Detect and delete commercials
In the DVR Library. In the recording for that specific program, I have selected the same.

However, all recordings contain commercials, and do not offer any option to even skip them. It’s as if it isn’t detecting them at all.

What am I missing?

Plex is running on an i5-11th gen, 32gb RAM, recording to a RAID10 array.

Can you provide your server logs? What and when is something you recorded where this didn’t work?

I’ve tried multiple programs across multiple networks. Law & Order, Jeopardy, etc.
Will have to pull logs later when I get home.

There was a problem with the 32-bit windows builds for Plex Media Server that was resulting in failure of the Plex Commercial Skipper detection of commercials.

This has now been fixed and released in beta 1.30.0.6486-629d58034

I would suggest updating your server to the 64-bit build anyway as that should offer better performance. The first update needs to be done manually. After that auto updates would use the 64-bit build

Thanks. I just updated to 1.30.0.6486 (x64) and will test for a few days and see how things go.
