Is there a way to redetect an intro? For some reason, I found that there’s a few shows where for some reason Plex detected the intro in the middle of the episode. I’m hoping that I can force Plex to try again and see if it can correct its mistake. I’m not sure how it happened, but it happened. I was watching an episode and “skip intro” popped up right in the middle of the episode.
Plex must recognize that the file has (been) changed, so it has to start a re-detection.
Easiest way is to slightly rename the file and starting a library scan afterwards. e.g. Show Title - s01e02 - Episode Title [v2].mkv
You must never rip or download files directly into the media folders which are included in a Plex library. Otherwise this kind of thing might keep on occuring.
I’ll give it a shot. I hadn’t ripped or downloaded the file directly into the media folder. It was moved in after completion.
