Difference between Plex Media Player and Win 10 UWP Beta App

for my knowledge what is the difference between the new Plex Media Player (stopped using PHT a while ago) and the new Beta Windows app?

i use PMP most of the time when i am on the server itself and android\chromecast when i am not (no win10 laptop, YET).

Thanks, that was a bit more info. But i don’t understand what the differences actually are other than one uses MPV and the other uses a “native video player”.

i was also looking for a feature difference, maybe a capability comparison table :slight_smile: i know Plex doesn’t really tell you their future road map, but i assume there is targeted functionality to go 1.0.

If you are looking for a HTPC client which can play everything, including Hi-Res surround audio, go for PMP.

If you are looking for a client which is touch-screen-optimized and is able to Mobile Sync then use the appstore app.
