Different language version selection option

Hi,

Is it possible to be given the option to playback a file in a certain language like it is with different resolutions? If not how can I separate TV shows to be able to name them accordingly? I have the TV shows saved on my HDD as Project Blue Book (2019) (EN) and again with (DE) but plex shows them as one entry in my library and when I choose an episode it asks me which version I want to play based on the resolution which doesn’t help at all as they have the same resolution so I have no idea which is the English and which is the German version. I have no option to split them like with a movie, otherwise I could have the show listed in my library twice and just amend the name.

Thanks.

Plex is not designed to handle multiple versions of the same TV Show in different languages. As you said, there is no way to tell which is which.

My suggestion would be to combine the files and have 1 video stream with 2 audio streams. Then you can choose which audio stream to use.

Use the Split command (only available at the top level of the show).
This will give you two shows, which you then have to rename, to indicate the language.

Bonus points for performing Fix Match on one of them,
and then using the other metadata agent. (TheTVDB vs. TheMovieDB)
That way the two versions are really separate.
