I’m new to Plexamp & I’ve noticed that there are two different status bars which show up in the app. One is a straight line with the track length on the right & the playing position on the left. The other shows the waveform of the track. What’s the difference & why change from one to the other, does anyone know?
Yep! What you’re talking about is referred to as the seekbar.
The waveform one is Plexamp’s ‘preferred’ seekbar style. It shows whenever a track has loudness data available. Loudness data is generated for each track during your server maintenance window, or when media is added (if you’ve enabled that preference on the server).
If loudness data is unavailable, Plexamp falls back to the basic, ‘straight line’ style.
You may find that recently added music is missing this data, so can’t present the waveform.

That’s great, thanks for explaining the difference.
