Dim question where is tidal?

Hi I can see tidal on my phone plex, where is it on the desktop version?

First, have you linked your Tidal account to Plex or signed up for a Tidal account through Plex?

How do I do that if plex home theatre has no evidence of tidal? (I already have a tidal account)

Do you mean Plex Media Player? We no longer support PHT.

PMP does not yet have the Tidal feature. You can see the currently support apps that do in https://support.plex.tv/articles/an-intro-to-tidal-with-plex/.

You don’t link your Tidal account through a client. It’s done through your account. See https://support.plex.tv/articles/adding-tidal-subscriptions-to-plex/ for more info.

Sorry I dont dip into the forum often, how do I play plex on my laptop then?

There was an update for it just today.

You can use Plex Media Player, but the Tidal feature isn’t available on it yet. If you want to try Tidal from your computer, use the hosted Plex Web at https://app.plex.tv/desktop from a browser.

OK so thats totally weird. If I goto plex via a browser to my IP:32400 there is no evidence of tidal, but if I go in via your link there is.

Question is if I am not on lan will your link work on a browser?

OK working through it in my head your link goes via the internet and presumably picks up the tidal stuff online where as my link is purely LAN based. Presumably therefore tidal is not really anything to do with ones plex server.

Makes sense and I imagine the link will work just fine on line assuming I am signed in.

Thanks

The web client is a separate app on its own, the one that ships with the media server application (the IP:32400 one) is always a bit behind the hosted version at plex.tv.

The newer PMS beta update that went out earlier today includes an updated web client which does support the TIDAL integration if you’re interested in installing that.
