Direct connection for apps just over HTTPS?

Earlier I asked on Discord and Reddit the same question, just to learn afterward about this forum likely being the proper place to ask.

I’m running Plex server container on a VPS, behind Traefik 3 reverse proxy, over HTTPS port 443.

Plex is accessible to web browser and Andoid TV app and it works fine.

What doesn’t work are PlexAmp and PlexDash apps which seem to require a more direct connection (container with port 32400 port published) or via Relay enabled, of which I don’t like any of the approaches.

I was wondering if these apps can connect just over HTTPS on port 443 somehow, without me opening port 32400 in my firewall?

The initial plan was as with all other containers I run to be tucked in behind reverse proxy without unnecessary port openings.
