Direct Connection Unavailable

I am currently in spain and trying to access my uk plex setup. I can use my neighbours (slow) adsl connection and all works as it has done
for the last couple if years.
I have brought a 3 mifi with me to see if I can get a better speed and according to speed tests I am getting 5Mbs
download.
However my server shows direct connect not available - anyone can guide me in how to resolve ?

I am not an expert on the matter, but it seems your current network cannot connect to your Plex IP on port 32400.
In my experience, using Internet Explorer will randomly get Direct Connection not available for some reason.
You can try a simple telnet PlexIP 32400 and see if you can connect to your Plex server.

thank you - I can connect without ptoblems using adsl over copper landline but I cannot connect using mobile broadband. The mobile broadband is 5 times faster according to speed tests so it should work better.

Quite often a mobile broadband connection won’t allow Plex server to use remote access, as port forwarding and UPnP aren’t always allowed.

I have resolved the initial problem of direct connection unavailable - I had set up server to use insecure connections but I still have issue with mobile broadband so I will create a new post - hopefully the community will continue to help - thanks
