Server Version#:1.47.1.3086-6c3d964f
Player Version#:
For the past 4-6 months 2 of my who use my server have been having trouble with 4k in general but mostly remuxes. I’ve had ATT fiber 1gbps for few years with no problems. I switched to the 2.5 gbps plan less than a month ago seeing that would help but no luck. They swapped me to the new bgw320 modem. Locally my remuxes play without problems on my XSX
Setup:
2.5 gbps ATT fiber (speedtest Dl:2200 mbps Ul: 2300 mbps consistently)
Latest Plex media server on Windows 11
i7 8700k with 16gb ram and GTX 1080ti
Connected to my NAS that holds all files
Both Friends Setup(direct playing)
1 gbps fiber internet
Xbox Series X hardwired getting full speeds
One has the Shield tube 2019 hardwired getting full speeds
Things I’ve tried:
Directly connected to modem
Behind a router in IP Passthrough (current setup)
UPnP & manually specified port (32400)
Upgrade from W10 to W11
I’m not sure what else to try but one thing I did notice on the Plex dashboard is when a 4k remux is being played the upload speed seems to stay at a constant 13-15 mbps which is obviously not enough. Other users sometimes get up to 60 mpbs on 1080 when first starting so I’m not sure why the 2 having problems are being stopped at <15. I would have another user try but no one else has the right setup or internet speeds for 4k remux direct play.
