Content is high bitrate with with windows detecting total bitrate as 18.8Mbps however this more like a minimum bitrate and will quite frequently go above 22Mbps, peaking above 30Mbps.
For no apparent reason when direct played the film will only stream from the server at around 20Mbps.
Server and iPad are both on 5Ghz wifi. My router is dual band so with the iPad on 2.4ghz it works fine. I wondered whether this was a wifi bandwidth issue but extended speed tests at the same time to fast.com showed a total wifi bandwidth equal to my network connection (~70Mbps).
Notice the status page shows this file as 39Mbps!
Not sure what is going on here. I noticed the when using the “old player” the logs specify a “fudge factor of 1.50000x” is this basically a workaround for this issue that never got a proper fix in the new ehanced player or something else?
