Disable Similar Artists

I know I’m just being an old humbug but my music tastes are gradually being set to read-only and I don’t have a lot of interest in the “similar artists” section. I find it just a distraction, when all I want to do is view the albums I’ve already got by an artist. Is there a way to remove that and just see my own music?

Alternatively, a suggestion to the Plex design team: make those suggested similar artists more visually distinct from the albums I own so that the page is easier to scan.

I should have been a bit more clear.

When I organise my music by Artist, then select an artist, I get a list of that artist’s albums plus some similar artists. The albums and the similar artists are represented by identically sized images, which at first glance makes them all appear to be albums. I have to look harder than I’d like to at the page to see which items are albums by the artist I selected.

Has anyone found a way to permanently get rid of this rubbish ‘similar artists’?

Select the artist, go to “Tags” and remove all the “Similar artists”. I haven’t figured out how exactly these tags are populated initially, but I think that’s key to stopping this feature from adding “similar artists” when you upload more music.

By disabling ‘Related Artists’ you are depriving yourself of the newer music features ‘Artist Radio’ and ‘Library Radio’.
