Disabling metadata on library (use text only)

HI guys,
Would it be possible to have the option to disable metadata on the library to reduce the disk and network i/o associated with client browsing.

I am running my plex server on a rasberry pi x64 and the library has grown such that scrolling the library on the mobile client seems to bottleneck the drive where the metadata is stored. I used linux symlink to reference a dedicated drive for it.

as an admin feature, this would be welcomed for lower powered devices and slower networks.

Just to clarify… you’re asking for a text-only display mode next to the existing ones (Grid View, Detail View and Table View)?

I suppose there’s no artwork in table view?
