Can I assume there are still some issues to workout with connecting with friends?
When going to Discover → People, about 8 of the people with access to my library showed up under My Friends. Of these friends, a few I could see the number of movies, shows, etc. watched, and the others didn’t show me any information.
The others have most likely opted out and disabled discover and have disabled sync of rating and played status with the plex cloud.
I don’t think anyone that has access to my library has messed with any of the settings. Most of them barley have the wherewith all to just watch a movie! lol
These are account driven settings and not directly related to your own plex server.
Most of these options default to “private”.
So unless the user has been automatically prompted to change them, they remain “private”. This automatic prompting currently happens only in certain client types.
