Hi, Love the idea of the new universal watchlist, and have set up several programs. I mainly watch through the Roku stick attached to my TV. My understanding is that when I hit the episode in the watchlist, it should launch the appropriate app. However I just get a message saying that launching other apps isn’t allowed. Have I misunderstood how it works? Or have I got something set up incorrectly?
Roku does not allow opening other apps or deep-linking content in other apps.
That’s a general restriction of this platform and cannot just be overcome by Plex.
then how can we remove it?
That’s a real shame, I realise it’s not Plex’s fault but it pretty much removes the point of the system. It’s such a neat idea!

Note: It is also possible to deep link from one channel to another via the roUrlTransfer component and the launch command.
