No transcode, direct play audio + video
I see a PlexTranscoder process running. Since this is an MKV file, it seems to be transcoding.
But why?
not every movie transcode (every move mkv)
“mkv” is a container and says little about the how the actual video was encoded… Some mkv files contain video encoding that do not require transcoding on the client device (this can vary too!) while other mkv files contain video that DO require transcoding (HEVC/10b is a prime candidate, for example) again, depending on the client device.
Are you using subtitles? And sometimes the audio track requires transcoding (same idea as video).
