It would be great if it weren’t either/or but both.
Asked about they same here just today; Show IMDB as well as Rotten Tomatoes
Would be great and seemingly simple to display all available ratings for movies instead of having to choose. IMDB and RT are the two widely accepted, simple to standardize on those too!
Please, let us have IMDB, TMDB, Roten Tomatoes, Trakt AND Metacritic to be shown simultaneously!
Why choose when we can have all of them displayed? Like this amazin app, MovieMate.
Thank you!
Would indeed be great ! (and if allocine was also possible for us frogs would be even better ! )
This and the ability to sort by those individual ratings (“Sort by IMDb”;“Sort by RT Audience”;etc.) would be awesome.
Currently, sorting by critic rating only gives an alphatetic order if IMDb is chosing as the primary rating source which is absolutely not intuitive.
Furthermore, I think that this would be a nice addition to the new “Modern Interface” to see all of those rating at once.
I assume that there are more than 8 people that like this idea so let us keep this thread active!
This would be great!
I’ve noticed that Plex for Roku and watch.plex.tv have the ability to simultaneously display ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and TMDb. However, this feature doesn’t seem to be available on other Plex clients.
Below is a screenshot of the Plex for Roku interface from Reddit.
Below is a screenshot from watch.plex.tv.
Currently, in the movie library settings, users can only select one rating source to display. For TV show libraries, users can’t even choose the source and are defaulted to TMDb ratings.
I’m writing to request a feature that allows users to freely choose rating sources for all libraries and to set up the display of multiple rating sources simultaneously.
I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience by providing a more comprehensive view of a movie or TV show’s reception across different platforms.
Also, Plex has a big community of Chinese users who often rely on Douban for movie and TV show ratings, especially in China. Douban has its own rating system with lots of user reviews, much like IMDb. As Chinese users, we’d love Plex to include Douban ratings as an option. This way, we can choose to display Douban ratings alongside others. It would be great if you could consider this addition.
BTW… if you review the xml for ANY movie you will see the ratings from imdb, rotten tomatoes and tmdb is stored.
Lord of War below:
<Rating image="imdb://image.rating" value="7.6" type="audience"/>
<Rating image="rottentomatoes://image.rating.ripe" value="6.2" type="critic"/>
<Rating image="rottentomatoes://image.rating.upright" value="8.5" type="audience"/>
<Rating image="themoviedb://image.rating" value="7.3" type="audience"/>
It’s the clients which lag behind and its been like this for a long time. I think roku had the multi ratings UX added over a year ago.
only lacking Trakt to be perfect!
This is very useful future
As a temporary solution you get it with Kometa addon. It takes some time to setup, but until it will be implemented in Plex, then that could work.
RT and IMDB are now displayed in the new mobile app BUT NOT IN THE WEB UI, why is that?
