It would be really useful to include a quality indicator overlay on a movie poster for example. Something that would say 4k, FHD, HD, etc.
Most movie media covers have quality indicated over the top. Something similar should be implemented by Plex.
Here is an example: https://multimedia.bbycastatic.ca/multimedia/products/1500x1500/m22/m2222/m2222992_1.jpg
I asked a similar question a while back got no feedback.

I am still a fan of this feature.
I would love this feature too.
I would suggest:
SD
720p
1080p
4k
8k (in the future)

I think you misunderstand. The request is for an overlay on the poster; the web app nor anything else does this.
It could just show a logo for that specific situation, like a film frame with a ‘2’ for 2 different resolutions, 3 for 3… This one kinda like it is on the selected movie over view
This one would be for the movie posters in the lists (TV-Shows, Movies, etc) and On Deck, Recently added TV, Recently added Movies.

I think this is a good idea to have resolution and ratings on posters
This would be a very good feature to have.
