Dlink 320L NAS compatibility with Plex Media Server

Hi Guys and Gals, wondering if you can help…

I have a Dlink ShareCentre 320L NAS drive which works fine streaming media across my home, but wanted something a bit more GUI friendly so looked into Plex Media server.

Now this Plex would be a perfect fit within my home and beyond, so wondering if there is an add-on I can download and install which will allow me this treat…I know there are third party add-ons for the DLink NAS drives that work, but plex do not officially support, but is this likely to change as I would rather go official…

If there isnt and the only way to get this installed and working is through a third party, then can anyone offer some advise…

For most people I’d probably recommend having a separate computer to run the Plex server and have it access media stored on your NAS. It can be possible to combine both tasks into a single box, and that has a lot of advantages, but takes more effort and skill.
