Hello,
Have you got some news ?
Regards,

Any update guys?

Hi @BigWheel

Do you have any update for us? We wait since December 2021 for a solution for DLNA issues with Plex Server on Shield TV.

Is there a reason why Plex developers are not interested in working on DLNA issue?

I don’t think they are trying to avoid it. Just a lot of random bugs and sometimes when one becomes troublesome to figure out they work on another till they can get a fresh look at it from different angles. This one is on a short list of ones they are trying to tackle but does not look like they figured it out yet looking at bug report i made

Hi @BigWheel

Thank you for your honest answer. The DLNA feature is almost the only thing I use from Plex at the moment. I really need this feature to here my music through Yamaha MusicCast.

Just got same problem - about a month ago. Until then DLNA worked fine on my Ubuntu 16.04LTS. After fail, I upgraded server to Ubuntu 20.04LTS, but no change…

So: Me too - please fix DLNA!

Hello,
Does this bug is now fixed on nvidia shield ?
I install the last version " Version 1.30.1.6497" and the bug is still here with the same error.

Regards,

A miracle has happened. The eagle has landed.

I’m seeing this error when running via Docker as well, as per this post. Related perhaps? Still unresolved bug?

As nothing happens, I’ve found that I can install MiniDLNA on Ubuntu together with Plex. Works fine as long as DLNA in Plex is disabled.

…hope this helps others!

Those having issues- have you checked in the task manager to see if Plex DLNA Server is running? Recent installs of the Plex server don’t seem to launch this app, which is in the Programs directory. So I pinned it to my start menu and just run it manually every time I relaunch Plex and things are working smoothly with my CXN streamer now
